Business Development Manger

Proposed Start Date:
Remuneration: Basic remuneration of €40 – 45 K per annum.
OTE: Estimated at between €20 – 30K
Tools: Laptop, Mobile Phone, Blackberry .
Mileage Allowance: Business Miles:
Bonus: A six month /annual bonus scheme will be put in place.
Probation: 6 months.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Make contact with targets by cold-calling and/or relationships already established Uk and Ireland
- Prepare presentations and present ideas and solutions to the "decision makers" within target organizations.
- Complete proposals and quotations in a timely manner.
- Negotiate deals, Complete tenders.
- Close sales deals; secure contracts and brief operations delivery requirements for the client.
- Manage contract and relationship until it is handed over to an operational account manager.
- Utilise current resources to create profitable add on business activities.
- Develop new business by achieving and growing sales with a selection of clients and prospective clients.
- Identify new opportunities and to work closely with product development in idea generation and provisioning of new services for delivery to clients.
- Identify, analyse and recommend new business opportunities
- Achievement / overachievement of new business sales targets
- Develop the sales plan in conjunction with the MD and the Board.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Essential: A minimum of three years' successful selling experience in the hi-tec sector (preferably in the ICT arena);
- Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Essential: A track record of having routinely met and exceeded sales targets and of having developed healthy longer-term relationships with clients that have led to repeat business;
- Essential: Highly Organised, Excellent Time Manager;
- Essential: Management certificate, diploma or equivalent;
